Florian Stuetzer aka ‘Florist’ will be providing the guest mix this week bringing his trademark deep funky sound to the Gulshick Studios.

Originally a hip hop enthusiast/DJ he found his true calling at a Techno party in a German bunker in 1996. Since the discovery of this electronic art-form he has focussed his attention on the driving sound of german techno and started to collect obscure and rare records.

As his tastes grew he started producing his own take on techno; concentrating mainly on the hardware side of things rather than the swamped market of over produced computer music. You can hear the detroit influences throughout his releases as his deep funky tracks have caught the attention of the scenes big players.

his latest release on ‘Groove Division’ sees Florist take the expected deep minimal vibe with experimental influences as the germans do best.Veranda blends drums and textures of techno with beautiful piano melodies and peaceful atmospheres. M.I.T. succeeded to absorb this idea and make a beautiful remix in its own style.

Live guest mix from the amazing Auntie Flo. He will be dropped in to lay down a live DJ set for us before his gig at the Dimensions Festival Launch Party in Edinburgh.

Flo’s album ‘Future Rhythm Machine’ dropped in the middle of May 2012 and has gained huge support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall, Gilles Peterson, Caribou and Jackmaster to name a few.

Launching the album at Fabric, throwing down one of the best live performances I’ve seen/heard on the Boiler Room and a live session with Rob Da Bank on radio 1, Auntie Flo’s 2012 gig diary is looking pretty healthy too!

It was an honour to welcome one of Scotlands brightest up and coming stars and his set for the show certainly didn’t disapoint.

Getting his break at the tender age of 13 after securing his first residency in the 90′s, he has since been unable to shake the house music bug.
Not following musical fashions he has stayed true to his craft and has kept people moving on dancefloors all over Europe.
